Fossil Ammonite

This small Ammonite i wasn't sure was worth picking up. That was until i started grinding it.

Largest colorful agate

Hauled 1/4 + mile off the mountians by hand, weighing over 60 lbs, a good rock for the day.

Our largest thunder egg we were able to bring back, cut on a 36 inch saw!

Alaskan Herkimer Diamond

Alaskan Herkimer Diamond is something we were not expecting to find up here. A very small pocket and mined out now. We were very happy to find the large 1 inch specimen.

Pyrite Nodule

We typically don't find pyrite nodules, especially this large!

Amber

So far, this is our largest piece of polished amber we found.. It has been many years of searching and we have yet to find more this size.

Worm Trace Fossil

This comes from an area that we are always finding unusual items. This worm trace fossil is still at the top of the coolest finds from the area.

Blue Agate, A First

Blue is a very rare color in Alaska to find when talking about agates. We have proven that it is here though!

A Geode, Small Yet Colorful

When we find geodes we usually expect them to be white. This one has lots of green colored agate!

Alaskan Amythest

It may not be much, but it is Amethyst! This is in an area that is not known to have any Amethyst and we know it did not come from far away. We still search to find more but this find made our day.
